Is there any difference between the 2015 headunit and 2017 (SR5) headunit you have installed?

You get scout gps, an eco button that shows your MPG, a few graphical layouts that are different.
Also I feel like the screen is more crisp for the backup camera. But it could just be me.
I’m still discovering things so there might be more!

Was it all plug & play? No wiring modifications? Did you previously have gps in the original head unit?

Thinkin maybe I need an UltraGauge cause whenever my wife fills the tank she doesn't reset the odometer AND I've really been trying to track mileage lately

....but maybe I'm getting too greedy, it's nice to magically come back to a full tank

Straight plug and play, used my existing wires with no modification. The box is identical in dimensions. Also I did not have gps or eco before.

Maybe I just didn’t wait long enough. Thanks for all the tips.

Dumb question #2. How long do you have to hold that trip odometer button before the maintenance light resets? This may just be my impatience again...

Awesome. So apparently there's no external hardware necessary to run gps and eco...it's all self contained in the head unit. Great thanks!

None at all, I was surprised it worked at all. The only hardware you need is the mounting brackets that came with your truck, because the one from the 3rd gens are completely different. But it’s just 8 bolts.

    Procedure is :
    1. turn key on, push odometer to the TRIP A mode
    2. turn key off
    3. push and hold in on odometer button while turning key back on
    4. continue holding in on odometer button until all dashes disappear and resets at zero

Nice! You know I like amber lights. Just be careful, because adding lights can be a bit addictive.
