I have tried the cursive E. Only way I can replicate that weld is to move back into the puddle and then move forward. Very nice looking welds.

If I get good penetration and my welds look like a smooth bead of caulk I am happy. I have become impatient in my old age.

Thanks man! Yeah I’m the same way for sure. Exactly right. Straight, move, pause, move.

I started off with the cursive E but then realized after a while that I really liked the moving back into the puddle and forward and repeat technique like you’re talking about. I appreciate it man.

Haha I really like to make my welds look aesthetically pleasing for myself and any of my customers. I want them to look at their product and be happy with the way everything looks including the welds. But I get what you’re saying. As long as it’s a proper weld and will get good penetration then it’s all good in the hood

It's called whip and pause. I generally run steady MIG beads with some movement (cursive-e), I know they aren't as visually pleasing but oh well.

They're interchangeable terms, all intercoolers are heat exchangers but not all heat exchangers are intercoolers... "Heat exchanger" is just an umbrella term that can be a radiator, oil cooler, or even just a heatsink on your computer! while an intercooler is specifically for cooling charge air, via forced air/water. I'm no engineer though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
