Exactly. If you can make a fire and keep consistent temps, produce good smoke and airflow...your good to bbq all day. People smoke out of refrigerators, cabinets, ugly drum smoker, the list goes on. As others have stated it's about the pit master and how well he knows his smoker.

That's almost 17lbs of charcoal a week. I'm most jealous of how much outdoor cooking you do. With how efficient the BGEs utilize charcoal you must have those things running 24x7.

Just finished up some delicious boneless chicken thighs. Gave them a good dose of Pitfaced Rub beforehand.

It was my first time using my new slow n sear. The thing held very steady temps! I am impressed.

Sort of off-topic, but one of the reasons I chose to buy from Silencerco is that their warranty states “We’ll even warranty stupid...once.”

Wait until you need warranty parts and you are paying for them. In the 7,000lbs of charcoal I have burned I have gone through 2 fire boxes 1 riser ring and a fire grate. If I had to but the parts i'd have over $500 in cost. BGE sends me new ones free of charge or shipping when they break. All ceramic will eventually break if you use it enough. So either spend a little more up from and save more in the long run or save some money up front and hope you can even get parts for your Home Depot Kamado.

I only have to cook for my girlfriend and myself. I'm retired and she works weird hours so I don't get to cook for both of us very often, most of the time I cook something for 4 people and then i just eat the leftovers until she has a day off and then I get to repeat the cycle again. Hopefully I can get several years of service out of my vision grill and then I'll upgrade to something better, until then I happy with what I got and it works great for the 2 of us.

Merry Food Night Bro's - we did a ridiculous rib eye roast using the 500*/350* method (personally not a fan) - with veggies and beverage for All - I should not have eaten as much as I did all weekend just to binge tonight.
    No pics but yes, yummy

Umm so i dont like cookin chicken cuz undercooked is like deathly, and overcooked may be worse than overcooked steak (i said maybe) but my mom had 4 half grown game roosters and 1 older rooster that my dad cleaned and wanted cooked for the game tonight. Im cooking em in the crockpot and then gonna throw em over some pecan for an hour to get a little smoke flavor and crisp the skin up on the old bird (it was plucked and the 4 young birds got skinned)
