And second what is plugged into these?? Can’t find any good info anywhere

First pic, that wire goes to the + battery terminal. "Feed" for the fuse box. Should be one more from the alternator/starter harness on that empty stud on the fuse box.
Second pic, small circle. Alternator "control" wires also from alt/starter harness. Large circle, the 2 ADD VSV's. Reddish plug on the froward VSV blue to the rear.

Yup. I asked the same two questions about those two connectors under the fuse box and they're for the 4WD system VSV's.

Awesome thank you guys! Hopefully I can get rid of the gauge cluster and have everything still work. Need to get some wiring diagrams. Just wasn’t sure if I could get rid of those VSV plugs or not. Appreciate it guys!
Going to start wiring my truck here soon and try to get the lights/everything working with this 4bt.

What wiring diagrams do you need? There's a post stickied to the top of this forum with 75% of all the Toyota FSM's for the first gen.

I just grabbed a Haynes manual for like $20 so I have all the ones I need. I think..

I looked at the sticky but the link won’t work for me for some reason.

Just trying to get the heater, lights and radio to work. That’s really all I need

Not sure where/how/what you are going to interface in the swap but here's some more stuff, I'm a little bored.

    ADD VSV's connected.

    Alternator plug "EA1"

    Fuse box feed.

Charging diagram from 03, same as 99/98 except for value of main "ALT" fuse.

    Pin out for "EA1"

    Some location info.

    Perfect!! Thank you

The only thing I’d like to interface is my start circuit and charge curcuit because that’s the only thing my engine needs to run. I need to figure out if I can eliminate the gauge cluster without affecting my turn signals and headlights along with make sure my heater controls and everything else works independently.

Problem is I have no ecm anymore so going to have to figure out how to make everything trigger without it.
I’ll see if I can wire the clutch start cancel to work still.

Oh man... the Haynes manual is about 10% as helpful as the factory service manual. For comparison this is how a Toyota wiring diagram looks like.

The Toyota electrical FSM is like having a Lamborghini, and the Haynes wiring diagram is like a 1982 Trabant. Lol.

Basically I need to wire the truck to make everything work while the engine, trans and ecm arent there... that’s how I have to wire it.

    Need one for a 1998 sr5 4x4.
Found out when I pulled the rear axle out of it the truck was custom ordered cause on the door it has a ? Where the gear ratio code should be.
