Honestly the length/weight of this specific beam is super fuzzy, All I remember is it was 1" thick everywhere, really heavy/long, and I was under it with a rosebud while thinking "If this somehow falls on me...I'm dead no matter what....."

In all honesty, those pics kinda annoy me. I admit they beautiful and very professional looking.

These are done with a TIG welding rig by a very seasoned welder. The people that land on this thread will have a hard time producing something that nice without much training and practice.

There is a reason these parts are going on a expensive car.

Honestly, I guess I view them as art more than useful.

I don't think this is jealousy, but I dont find them realistic for most.

    Flame me if you want.

First of all, Thank you. I have been called many things, but a "seasoned welder" is one of the best I have ever had. :hattip:

I'm not expecting anyone to replicate anything, I just have never showed those images to anyone other than family when they ask what I do..."OOOH that nice honey!"....Thanks Grandma <3

I didn't post to brag, or show any one up I just wanted to show you guys the type of work I do.

I have no need to flame man, and I don't think its jealousy either.

I know that I will never be that precise and skilled. But I can be appreciative of a talented tradesman.
Most of the work I do as a carpenter would be seen as frivolous by most. But I rarely take pics of my work anymore as I see all the flaws that no one else would ever see.

    A few things
I recently picked up a Lincoln 140 off craigslist. I’ve been using a cheapo harbor freight welding helmet. I’m looking to upgrade to a better welding helmet. Any suggestions?

That was just a question I hear all the time i just wanted a different take on the Answer

I can kind of see Kirk`s point but it does show what is possible .

I do like looking at any and all welding art a very good label

The engine builds back in the seventies in the different magazines for just $20,000 .00 you can build this too.

Like looking at all the tricked out Newer Trucks I know I can never afford even though I keep saving every time I get a extra 10 or 15 grand saved something more important needs attention .Yet I still look !!

well after 2 attempts with this other company I had to finally re-order through Amazon and its still going by way of train I think. It should be a common capacitor just take off a cover panel and take off two wire nuts and replace but my first order was before Thanksgiving...that got cancelled with no notification, then again in December...finally have some movement after ordering through Amazon.

This time of year can be bad when the heat kicks on .

Then the display can be plus or minus 10% and still be within Factory specs

It was warm Today a nice sunny 26 Degrees F

    Yes because of the weather.

In the Summer when the AC got turned down at 5 PM there was such a difference you had to turn the output down
