Well made the rounds. Ran another cord from another circuit so dogs and cats now have 2 space heaters but all 3 dogs are laying out in the open? I saw them earlier up under cover and thru the night so I guess they like the cold.
So far faucets are good but it’s only been below freezing for about 15 hrs or so.

I hadn't heard that before, but it makes sense. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do it with store cuts also since all of their bacteria fighting happens in the freezers and coolers. Once they cut it, it's packaged and put out for sale. If any contamination occurs, it's going to be in that timeframe of cut and wrap. But I haven't had any problems either. Once the jerky is done I bag it and freeze it till I need it. I started doing that with everything I dehydrate.

Keep trying to get them to store in a tote. Better to have than not.

I wore my vest at work 4 times and my jacket twice (one time because I forgot my vest at home).

I have some cargo pants like that. Thanks for the reminder.

I used to do functional cold testing of ECUs at -40. Used a small Heraeus chamber that was quite pricey. Engineer from GM asked was that -40 C or F. I just Replied, "Yes."

Hard to find in stores this time of year. Wife found some at Kohl's and Target but were about like what I have.
