Figured I'd throw up a shot of my regular cab in Joshua Tree from a recent camping trip. Just upgraded the stock dunlops to some dynapro atm's in 265/75r16IMG_3333.jpg

I sold my 2013... I’ll miss her but it was time to move on.

    FYI for you you guys:
The central CA market for these this is always good, and this worked out well for me. I’ve owned the truck for 3 yrs 4 mo, bought it around 24k and sold it with about 96k. I had the Core/hurst shifter, cruise control, intermittent wipers and decent wheels, no other mods.

It sold for $17,000 using just Craigslist. When I bought it I paid $16,500 and it was missing missing a tailgate. I ended up with two tailgates for $400 so I have one to sell now.

I don’t know how other markets are, but around here it seems like a good time to sell.

    LOL, no...

If you actually read what I wrote. “FYI” For your information, in other words my intent was to simply provide information for those that will eventually move on from their single cab. While I enjoyed it (my 5th Toyota pickup) my mission has changed again and it was time to move on.

So, for those are are paying attention, do some research and find that strong market when you sell. As Jeff B has demonstrated, a lot of us are very devoted to these little trucks (with good reason) and you may be able to use that when the time comes.

I think most of us are aware of the value of our trucks. This is probably also due to the fact that Toyota doesn’t make them anymore (which Jeff mentioned above). If we were to sell, what would we replace it with? We already all have the perfect truck for our needs.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. You drove the truck for 3 years, put 75,000 miles on it and didn't lose money. Can beat that. As for if you should sell or not, it's your money, your truck, do what you want.

I wonder what I could get for mine, a 2013 with 17,000 miles? I’m in the car wash/detail business so it still looks new.DE0F600A-A730-435C-8594-4D227907832D.jpg

I’ve never tried to sale or trade, but I imagine not many people are looking for a base model, 2 door truck with manual transmission. Most people want a truck that is like a car, (ride, comfort, amenities, power everything). When I bought mine in 2013 it had been on the lot a while which I used to my advantage. It was exactly what a I was looking for.
Regardless, I will never sale. I’m actually about to throw about $7000 at it.

17,000. I live 1/4 mile from where I work and usually walk.

If not this summer then next I’m going to drop it off at EastCoastGearSupply and have them install 4.56 gears, ARB air lockers and a crawl box. There’s more I will eventually do, but these are the next things.

@jeff b If I may ask, why have you done all that stuff to your truck? Do you run it in the desert at high speed? I'm just curious because it seems to be quite different than most builds on here. And lots of the stuff you have done is quite expensive. If I'm being too nosey, just say so.

Thanks for the answer. "I just like this style." is certainly good enough for me. I was just curious cause it is different. Kudos to you for building what you wanted. I think it's pretty unique anywhere away from the desert. Unique is good.

I say that because your truck is absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to build mine, but I'll never be anywhere close to yours.

My plan is pay it off and buy a double cab. This truck would be a toy at that point. It was my wife's idea. :D
