I have three bad disks in my back and have pain while siting often. The seats reclined position did not help. I raised the back of the seat one inch to allow a more upright position and it has done wonders For my back.

I've been contemplating doing this and will probably pull the trigger in a few months. My covers and foam need replacing so I'd just rather have a better looking 3rd gen seat.

I did my buddies over the weekend and he likes it but has a mirror relocation bracket. He is also a 6’er who is athletic. I don’t know where he found the bracket.

I have the BirdDawg mirror riser and 1” rear seat lift. Position the mirror up with the bracket and it is all good. I’m 6’ and it is no longer in my face. Keep in mind the 1” seat lift is rear only, so it is partially angle not a 1” uniform lift.

I’m 6’2” 205 and the TRD seats are just fine for me. After 4-5 hours the seats in my 11 Silverado would kill my back. I can do 8+ hour hauls in the Taco with fatigue, but no real pain.

3rd gen is one thing, I want to know if GX460 seats will work. I’m 80% sure they will bolt in, the electronics are another thing.

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
I did find third gen sets on car-part.com so they are out there. Even some heated cloth. Didn't find much for heated leather. But did find some non-heated leathers, which I found odd.

I just wish the seat would lower. I can’t believe they don’t have an option to do this, especially in the 3rd gen. I’m 6’2” and be seat position is for a much shorter person. I have the stay further back at lights or lean forward the see them. Someone figure out the 4Runner power seats and I’d be interested.

You guys might want to check out Katzkins which makes a cover for our seats that has additional foam in it..
They also offer different materials, and have a heated, cooled option that will install in our trucks..
Chances are they will still be cheaper than finding a good interior from another model and retrofitting it into the trucks.

Jut something else to think about. The side curtain airbags in the seats are probably different in some way from 2nd to 3rd gen. Possibly a different inflated shape, or not even compatible with the ecu programming. Just a thought.

I’m surprised you would put a spacer on your seats. This is extremely dangerous in a crash.

The 1" riser uses grade 8 hardware on 1" steel blocks in the rear mount only. This isn't a stacked washer with untreated bolts lift.

I have actually been in an offset head on collision with the same 1" rear seat riser in my Rubicon. With a plate bumper and winch, it totaled the other car and caused nearly $10k in damage to my Jeep, including tweaking the frame. The seat and risers didn't budge.
