after going back and forth with the seller areyourshop about my case and trying to get a refund due to not getting the letters and me not being happy with the whole experience I went ahead and agreed to a $40 partial refund and getting the letters sent to me with tracking.... I hope its the letters and not LEDS! haha. Once I get them I plan on clear coating the grille like some of you are doing. I've never clear coated plastic so if any of you have any advice that would be great! And how good is the adhesive on the letters?? are most of you using additional material to make sure they stay on? like some sort of glue? I just want to make sure I get it right the first time and it looks like alot of you have had some success on making it look great! I also have the inferno decals that I plan on putting on the lettering... but I see some of you are painting the letters... so paint/plasti dip or decals??

I purchased from them as well. I just put the letters on with the provide double sided tape. They seemed to adhere well, but I may go back and add some additional glue or something.

Guys, this was just too easy...

    IMG_20171231_142133-EFFECTS.jpg

Now to my next big decision. I'm thinking of removing the Toyota emblem from the original grill and wearing it around my neck...

    IMG_20171231_142850.jpg

After driving a Prius for 10 years, I have really fallen hard for this truck. It's perfect. Took it out to Bankhead National Forest last Friday. Started to appreciate driving a 4 wheel drive (The trial roads were in excellent condition) - but the fear of getting stuck were gone. Gonna decorate the interior with a Uniden R3 radar detector this weekend (Don't tell my wife). If she saw me tearing the front end off a truck that I hadn't even may the first down payment...

TacoGlenn81 - I'll chime in on my opinion about the letters. I say since you already have the vinyl decals go ahead and use them. They can always be removed if you don't like them or they start to peal. As for applying them make certain you thoroughly wipe down the surfaces you are applying the decals to with isopropyl alcohol for best adhesion.

GREAT pic Martin_Z. It makes me REALLY want a Sport Hood for my truck. Anybody get an "extra" one for Christmas they don't need? :D

just curious if anyone that has received the grille from areyourshop look like this on the T and O? and if they had to sand it down in order to fit the letters? I have not received my letters yet but I wanted to go ahead and prepare the grille if I needed to make these areas flat. I also purchased 1 can of rustoleum 2x ultra cover matte clear to give it that extra protection

Honestly, I didn't notice that on mine. My letters look evenly flush and adhered pretty well. I may go back and add some additional glue to be safe. I'm surprised that they do not snap in to the grill. The double sided tape is the only thing holding them in place.

Fit and finish is every bit as good as OEM. I've held the OEM Pro grill and can't tell any difference. The quality feels excellent and fit is spot on. Will the plastic hold up to sun as well as the OEM stuff....not sure but at $135 I'm willing to take the chance and betting it will :)

Mine was supposed to arrive Saturday but apparently my lazy mail carrier didn’t want to get out of his truck and left a notice in the mailbox despite my wife and kids being home all day. Wife even saw him out front and said he never came to the door.

Mine had these mold nubs, I did not sand them, letters sat flush just fine as they are shell, not solid
