I traded the Tacoma in today after only 6 months. Reason was I bought a 18' toy hauler saturday and it weighed 5700# loaded with motorcycles and our stuff. The Tacoma pulled it home saturday but it did not really like it. 96 miles and I had my foot to the floor most of the way to do 65 mph on flat ground. So I bought a 2010 Tundra 5.7L TRD off-road double cab 2wd today. It has the tow package and is capable of towing 10,600#. It's a brute of a truck. I lost about $2000 in 6 months on the Tacoma and that was the payments that I had made. I got 0% interest on the Tundra, 2 year maintenance contract at no cost to me. It has every option the Tacoma TRD Sport had except the 6 CD changer only a single on on this truck but the Tundra has the bluetooth feature on the phone. Not sure I will be overlly happy with 14~18 mpg but I don't drive but about 232 a week commuting and can take a street bike to work if need be. Anyway here is a crappy blackberry pic, it was pitch dark when I got home. I did swap my Prodigy brake controller over and my Valentine1 radar detector first thing. I went with a white truck because my last Tundra was white and my Taco before the Sport was white I love white trucks.:D

I don't have a lot of money but I did pay half the tacoma off as a down payment back in Nov. when I bought it. As I said earlier I lost $2k in 6 months on the Tacoma and if it had not been a Tacoma it would have been much worse. The Tacoma has a strong following and market value on them is outstanding. As for the Tundra dealers want to deal on them as does Toyota so it was kind of a win win situation for us both. I have postive equity in the Tundra so I am not too worried in the long run. Low monthly note as well. Insurance went up a little but not to terrible, pays to be old;) I don't do much extended credit deals never did even before the credit/bank crisis deal.
