I don't think so. There aren't any oil stains on the area around the funnel.

Is that on the drivers side?

False alarm. My funnel had a slanted edge I didn't see from where I filled it on the driver's side, it appears it did spill over from the fill port. The truck is so high off the ground since it's on jackstands I couldn't see it.

This worked. I used the clamp for my ball joint press, it worked perfectly.

My driveshaft was screaming so I went ahead and replaced the carrier bearing. It had some play it.

When I went to grease the zerks the second to last one is taking grease non stop. I probably put 10-12 pumps into it. Must be dry as a bone and is where I getting all the noise from.

Anyone have any idea how much grease this takes? I don’t think it’s coming out anywhere yet. Should I just keep pumping?

Funny you ask I regreased the zerks on both my driveshafts about an hour ago. I have a Pneumatic one so I just kept going until I saw all red grease coming out of the U-Joints and wiped off the excess, no idea if that's the correct process but it worked for me.

It was a slow day. Was working on my headlights, so I decided to bring back the luster of the bug deflector.

Yeah. That’s what I did for every other one. Usually took a few pumps. The second to last is just eating it up. I guess it has a pretty large capacity.

Are you greasing the u-joints on the driveshaft? The front driveshaft has a zerk on the shaft itself that greases the splines on the inner driveshaft. That zerk can only take so much grease as there is no where for it to flow out of.

Thanks. I used the polishing pad that comes with the 3M headlight restoration kit with some Zymol cleaner wax. Thought it came out pretty good.

I’m 2WD. But I think you’re correct. It’s greasing the splines. Hopefully I didn’t put too much in there. Its the one That’s most lit up....I took the zerk off to see if any wanted to come out and not much did.

There's two right? I can see one that moves with the u Joint and one stationary on the shaft

The one I’m referring to is on the shaft....all the others took the grease with a few pumps.
