I always used 2 clamps and a level or straight edge long enough to make the entire cut and did what wilcam47 says and measure from edge of the saw plate to the edge of the blade. Thats where the level would go

Bought one a month ago and love it. Had to rip some ply for shop cabinets I was building. Smooth cuts and acturate. It came with the 55" track but I can see the 118" is a must have or another 55" and the connector bars. Also bought the clamps though for short rips the grips on the rail hold well. If you are going to rip some fancy ply it has a precut mode that will score the surface to prevent splintering. Read through the manual a few times and play with it to get a good idea how it works. The pictures in the manual are small and not very clear. Also try to find a package deal with the storage box.

Don’t have a track saw. I use a straight edge clamped on the sheet to guide my circular saw. Measure twice, cut once, perfect results.

I have one of these I use as a guide for routing dados, grooves and rabbets with excellent results.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Same here. Just finished, mostly plywood sheathing on the inside of my barn. All cut with clamps and a rip of plywood for a guide, and one of those. A 50" one though.

Buying my Festool set up before the price increase at beginning of March , leaning towards the 75 but wondered if the cordless 55 made more sense

Bad ass man. I think the glass is the way to go to show off that awesome frame. The smoked it pretty cool too. Maybe see if you can make some kind of rough sawn , barn board edge to go around the edges? Like a 1 inch board with a datto cut to slide over glass? Not sure but I really like that cart frame.

All depends on the depth and use really, since I normally run the vac with it cordless seemed pointless to me at this time. However I did have it up on the roof of that deck structure I was working on and cordless would have been great. Since I use mine for big slabs to commercail doors the depth of the 75 was the only way to go at the time. I do think I'll add the dewalt flexvolt track to my set up at some point for rougher work. And I just picked up the 1400 router on the 31st because of how it integrates with the rails and the dust collection capabilities.

Yeah I'm thinking start with the 75 and vac and add the cordless 55 later if it seems like it would be useful

Which vac do you have , I think I will get the 36 , I like the size of it , I used my drywall contractors on the last house

Replaced the ceiling fan in the master.

It's a big powerful fan, but I love the look and it's going to be fantastic this summer.

I have the 36ac, but you can always go smaller and add a Oneida dust deputy. I don't use it on site cleanup the rigid shop vac still gets used for that.

He tried the Planex for a while but didn't like it , they use the 36AC for clean up of the drywall dust after finishing

You think the 36AC is worth the extra money over the 36 when just doing woodwork ?

I run a planex since I tend to do a good bit of drywall, otherwise the ac is pointless.

Thats what I figured , the only thing I thought it might make sense for was if you were milling a ton of MDF but I avoid that if possible anyway

Make double sure it’ll never fall considering you’ll be spending 1/3 of your life under (assuming) it. I’ve only seen these large fans in industrial applications with bracing to prevent wobble. It’ll produce a nice wind.

Replaced the 3” flapper in my AS toilet on Christmas Eve. I thought of getting a 2nd one for the other toilet but naaaaaaaa, it’s fine right now. Guess what toilet got repaired on New Years Eve? Retired plumber & I’m still doing plumbing!
