Mine scrapped the RF fender flare pulling into the garage, at least there was no damage anywhere else. Then she did not pull up to the 4x4 parking block & closed the door. The bracket left 4 lines on the tailgate.
About $170 for the the & guestimate from body shop $520 for paint & install of the flare.

I bequeath my man card to @Gettin Lost for realizing this is a public internet forum, and a lot of "men" on here will talk shit about all the things they would do and what you should do.

He's smart enough to tune out the noise, and if he's a real man, doesn't need to walk around with a card to prove it.

Not exactly sure of the extent of your damage but I had a similar situation and I used a DA polisher and some chemical guys products to do some cutting and buffing and it was a night and day difference. I wish I would thought to get photos first. There was no deformation or dents in my case though. All surface stuff. It may not solve the issue but it’ll get you 70-80% there I think.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Years ago I pissed my girlfriend off. She jumped into her car forgetting that I had parked behind her, threw it into reverse and slammed into my 97 tacoma when it was only a year old. I was standing on the porch and the look of horror on her face was worth all the damage! I simply walked passed her without saying a word. Got into my damaged truck and left. As soon as I was out of sight i started yelling. I didn't call her for a while, a few days later I had fixed my truck and went back to her house as if nothing ever happened. Long story short, not losing my cool in that moment paid off in the long run. She more than made up for her indiscretions in other ways!! That was probably to get me to fix her car though now looking back at it. Either way, was a fun month.

Good job not yelling. Chicks dig dudes that stay calm when they know how pissed off they are! Deal with the damage until spring. Save a little where you can and have it fixed when you can. Surprise your wife with a custom decal that says "Love her name" and put that on it until it's repaired. The most i have ever impressed my wife was by staying cool when she knew I had every right to lose it. The most i have ever disappointed her was by losing it when I should have stayed cool.

If you ever take the truck off-road with your buddies, they will think this is normal, and maybe even think you're a bit more macho then they are! Leave it, and in 6 months you will have enough pinstripes that you won't even notice this any more!

Thanks for all the replies fellas!

I'd be here all day if i replied to every comment, but there's good info here!

I will try buffing out what i can... Try tapping the small dent out and save for a new fender flare.

I do off-road multiple times every week and already have more pinstripe scratches than miles... So this will probably just blend right in soon enough..

As far as trading in the wife... My wife has stood by my side through overseas deployments, getting injured spending months in and out of hospitals, and a handful of trips to jail for fighting...2 mandated anger management courses and more shit than i can even remember... She is here to stay. She could of totaled my truck and I'd still love her the same.

This is worthy of a reply.

I'm far from a pussy. The problem is knowing when something is worth getting mad over. It took me a long time to learn you can't let everything piss you off. Especially what some keyboard warriors say.

I have been in a couple fights because a man thought he could disrespect my wife. And anyone that's every really sat down after a fight and thought about it... There's no winners in a fight. I have put people in the hospital, then ended up paying their bills. I have spent a week in jail after beating a guy unconscious. I didn't win anything. My wife knows what I'm capable of because she has witnessed first hand what i will do if the situation really calls for it... But arguing over something on the internet is what a pussy would do. I have nothing to prove to anyone here.

Sometimes i get mad online and before i think... i post.. Always a regrettable decision. You prove nothing. In the end you look even weaker than the person you replied to because you give them the advantage. Nobody can take your pride unless you let them.

As far as a man card... Buddy i have earned mine in more ways than i can count and will happily relinquish that bullshit.

Being tough requires control. Acting tough is for the weak.

I hope you actually think about this, use your head, not your fingers. If you don't give them the power to anger you, you're already stronger than them.

The first scratch and dent are always the hardest to deal with.
It' only a truck, it' easier to fix than a broken marriage.
Don't worry it can be fixed

In a few months you can laugh and joke about it.
