That sucks about his insurance but that's good you have underinsured coverage. Problem is, your insurance rates will go up thanks to the douche in the BMW.

Still working on the insurance payout. Hopefully will have an update tomorrow. Since the it was deemed totaled, I just needed to get something quick.

YES some areas more so than others. Where I live, red lights are will be stale for a good 2-3 seconds and there's still people running through. It's aggravating and dangerous

OP that's really shitty about the other driver not having insurance and expired license.

Definitely try and get as most as possible. Or also, try and negotiate to where you get to keep the wrecked one and make even more by parting it out...my pops did that when his truck was hit by a drunk driver. Insurance wouldn't give him all he wanted so he made a deal with his insurance company to get a little less then offered and kept the truck, sold it for parts and came out ahead. Oh if you got that route...dibs on the hood ;).

Above all, glad your safe OP and in a new Pro.

Right?? Body shop and adjusters taking their time. Add to that the guilty party’s insurance is trying to lay blame on another driver involved. His guy hit us. Too fast for conditions, case closed. Going through my insurance. Let the insurance company lawyers fight it out, and get their money back! I need a new pro.

Sort of. It’s a small potatoes trucking company, that’s self insured, using a claims service. (and a lawyer by any other name, is still a lawyer)

Went back and forth with my insurance all week, but finally came to an agreement on a payout that I can live with. Now time to start working on babe, the blue ox.

My back started hurting about 10 days after the accident. Since the guy who hit me had no insurance, I have to go through my own. Hopefully I get back to normal soon.
