Actually, human overpopulation is the root cause of many of the world's major problems... social, political, economic, environmental, and yes even hunger. Not that there is not enough food in the world, it's that the cultures where 8 or more kids per couple is the norm, they tend to live in areas where there is not enough food readily available to feed the screaming little bastards, and good jobs are even more scarce.

That used to be the average number of children per U.S. household, now it's like 2.1 or something similar, I think.

In other words... you fear happiness!

But seriously, my biggest fears are: being burned alive, someone stealing (or otherwise f'ing with) my Tacoma, confined spaces (esp. submarines), and clowns. I HATE CLOWNS! Swimming in deep water at night is a good one though. Sorry I got off-topic in the quotes above but had to rant a little.

indoor heights. ill climb a big old tree or a mountain no prob but even being on the second floor of a mall/stadium kind of freaks me out.

also swimming in the ocean. the first and only time i went swimming in the ocean, i was riding the waves up and down. on one "down" ride i put my foot thru the torso of some huge dead fish that was sunk on the bottom. NASTY. also: sharks. anything that can creep up on you and rip your legs off with no warning is something to be avoided. freshwater lakes only for this guy.
