Sober and at work :notsure:. Realistically though, the sooner I start looking for deals on parts, the better of a deal I’m gonna get. And I’m wheeling on 37’s. Shit will break hahaha

Once I wear down my 37’s I don’t see why not. Lots of people running 40’s on LC axles.

Blown coilover... I thought it looked damp when I got back from California, now it's leaking enough to leave spots where it's parked.

You can buy just one threaded shock body for those if they’re toytecs. Just call Bilstein and tell them you need a replacement for a private label part (Toytec)

Yeah, these are Toytecs, but the Boss variety so these don't have the Bilstein shocks. Toytec wants $425 for a new pair of shocks. Debating on where I want to go from here.

Depends on how much money I have to spend. I’d really like a 2 speed atlas after hearing about all the leaking dual case stories. Plus it could handle more power when I’m ready for that leap.

And the boss’s aren’t still secretly Bilsteins?

Ya he probably did it for clearance. He’s already running 3” wheel spacers. Not exactly a go fast build though. So probably doesn’t matter. Mine will go fast whether it wants to or not

The Toytec Ultimate are threaded Bilstein 5100s, but I don't think the Toytec Boss are. I could be wrong though.

Definitely worth a call to Bilstein. They were super nice to me when I needed bushings for my Toytec coilovers. They were cheaper than buying them from Toytec

I just called and he said they don't sell anything like the shock body for Toytec parts because of liability and Toytec modifies the parts and they don't condone that, or something along those lines. He said if it were just bushings or some small parts kit I needed I could order through them, but I can't get a Toytec shock body through them.

So I guess now the decision is do I put new shocks on these coilovers for $425, or get kings for $992 from DSM.

Even for a non custom order like standard coilovers? DSM's website says something like 5-10 business days until they ship.

I'm leaning towards the Kings, they're more expensive, but it would pay for itself after the first rebuild versus buying another set of $425 shocks. I wish I had bought them in the first place, but live and learn.

I think Matt did get his pretty quick I think. I;ll call DSM or Filthy Motorsports tomorrow and see what they say about wait times, and what spring rate they suggest.

Maybe I'll email them tonight then haha. I like that they do the coil spring exchange for free.

That's not bad for 4 of them. You've got resis too don't you? I figure I could probably rebuild 2 regular coilovers for $100-150 myself depending on what I would be charged for nitrogen around here.
