Haha I didn't make out like I had hoped I would. But people should really used verge as a great example of what to look for in a company and why to invest or not. I still made out quite well but not as well as I could have.

Now Im more set for longer term holds for now. The mining stuff is going to be the play money at this point for me

TRX is also popular to pump and dump. See my earlier post about people taking advantage of unregulated markets. There are discord channels full of people who organize weekly p&D's to profit.

People have been against ripple longer than that lol. I still maintain it's got the most viable use case of any of these coins in our lifetime. Decentralized currency is great in concept but for any of that to become mainstream would require overcoming the huge resistance from the current financial sector and governments who make money on centralized currency.

Ripple, on the other hand, solves a huge problem for the financial sector. It's not trying to compete, it's trying to improve, which is why I feel it's got huge potential and is also relatively safe compared to the other coins.

But I'm not gonna tell folks what to do with their money!

A lot of them that you would publically join...good luck making money. Usually more of using your money to pump it up then they cash out and you get the leftovers. Join a good one though and it would work out probably

    Fun story.
I just overheard my coworkers at the other end of my office talking about crypto. So naturally I start listening. One guy has a wicked opinion about EVERYTHING in life and I knew that he is passionately against crypto, so of course he was telling the other coworker how it's such a bad idea and how he's going to laugh hysterically once it collapses and everyone looses everything. He believes it's basically a scam, it's severely unstable, there's no point in investing, there's no future with it, its just a fad, etc, etc. (I'm over here like, "that's wrong, wrong, also wrong... where in hell did you get your facts?!")

Meanwhile I got my teammate to jump on the XRP train while it was under $2 plus a couple others and he's already made money. Not to mention I know two exceptionally savvy investing coworkers who are crushing the crypto game.

I have heard the same lol, the whole "bubble gonna burst" spiel at least 10 times. I usually ask, what makes you think it is a bubble that is going to burst? Then silence and they say, "I don't know, just what other people say"

I mean...I wouldn't say they're wrong. BTC loses 25% of it's value more often than I change underwear lol. I'd consider that a bubble burst, doesn't mean it doesn't rebound. In the doom and gloom sense that it's just going to be a passing fad I would agree that they're in error. As I've said before, I think the gravy train as we know it will eventually come to an end though.

I'm not too pleased with the cluttered markets layout and it's clumsy to enter a trade in the screen. the charts kinda suck and there's not much volume. I do like the coins I've bought so far, linda and mint, I just bought them based on charting so don't take that as an endorsement to hold, it's just a flip.
my favourite exchanges so far are poloniex, binance, cryptopia.

I hear that mostly from people who just don't understand cryptocurrency at all. Most seem to think its just kids in their parents basements doing everything. The gf and I actually ended up talking a lot about it. She was one who didn't understand it but once I started explaining it she got more and more on board and saw the uses for it.

Sounds like you and I have about the same feelings on their layout. I don't car for the layout all that much either. The flashing green and red annoys me too as it seems way more pronounced that on say binance. Was just curious how you felt about it. They are nice since they have a lot of obsecure coins though

And apparently drunk me bought XVG there and I didn't realize it lol. Well crap on that one!
