I also don't think the committee expected neither Bama nor UGA to win their respected games either tho. I think they thought that was the only way the best case scenario could play out (Clemson vs OK) and so they set it up that way.

I've said multiple times I think they got the top 4 right, but that the methodology was wrong in selecting them.

If I really had to vote though, I would've left Wisconsin in over alabama. Even with a loss in their championship game, they at least played in it. But they chose to reward alabama for the loss to auburn instead of Wisconsin for the loss to osu.

if that's the case, then why wasn't OSU put in? they were supposedly "very close to Alabama" in the ranking prior to the conference championships, then they went on to win, but didn't get put in? why? because of HOW they lost, not when.

PSA: I THINK THEY CORRECTLY CHOSE THE 4 BEST TEAMS TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS

geezus crust having a different opinion about things here and you all jump on my like flies on shit. I'll say it again as well, it doesn't matter to me who that #4 was (if LSU had been in the exact situation as Alabama I would say the same thing), I think the methodology of the choosing was shit. they literally rewarded a team for a loss, while also speaking to the importance of conference championships. that's hokie to me.

how many loses plays a part too.

    1 early lose>1 late loss> 2 loses at anytime

please learn that it is "loss/losses" lol.

Alabama's loss was just as late as Wisconsin's (the respective teams last game of the season).

As bammer as this is gonna sound, I think Saban said it best. "I would say if that if we lost to a team in our conference that was not ranked by 30 points we wouldn't be in this conversation, you wouldn't even be talking to me"

college football logic = load of horse shit lol

you can argue the logic all you want, but had it been any team but bama you would probably be in the same spot I am, going "how can you reward a team for a loss?"

I think preseason polls are stupid, I think saying conference championships matter is stupid, I think lots of things are stupid.

Here's the thing: my opinion doesn't matter.

It sure does bother y'all though.

Oh I know, I was just making that point relevant again. Bama vs Wis ,schedule wise, would have been a crap shoot since Wis didn't play anyone and apparently Bama didn't either. Then it goes back around full circle to opinions.

I did say somewhere in here right after the iron bowl that saban may be the smartest coach in the game.
    1. didn't have to play Georgia in the SECC/an extra week of rest and still had a good chance of making the dance
    2. got a fire lit under the players butts/letting them know they were very beatable if they didn't play
    3. secured a spot in the auburn garage for the gus bus for at least another year

some gest of course, but it was possibly the best thing that happened to bama all year, especially after seeing how well the defense played last night

but wisconsin won their schedule against weak opponents, bama didn't.

people also say "oh that's not the same team when we beat/lost to them" (see Bama comments about FSU). ok, so OSU is a damn good team right now, and when they beat Wisconsin they were. they weren't when they lost to Iowa.

it's all opinions and personal preferences as to who is "better" when you want/think them to be "better". there is no perfect way to rank teams, I mean Auburn beat Bama so they are better than bama, right? that's the dilemma with college ball.

I think Saban is the smartest/best coach as well, but he also gets privilege with his current record and history. People are like "but it's Bama so we know they can play". Yeah, how about that Auburn game? Even LSU beat Auburn!!! That's embarrassing lol

And LSU lost to Troy. Ergo, Troy>all!

I agree with you though. As mentioned above though, there will never be a perfect setup for picking the top 4 because there will always controversy over most if not all teams involved.

lol I agree, Troy is the shit hahaha, IMO best team ever to walk the planet.

correct, no perfect setup, I just think the setup currently could be improved.

step 1: stop saying conference titles matter, or stop playing conference titles.
