2014 with the factory head unit non jbl. I just bought these from crutchfield, jbl gt7-6c for the front and jbl gt7-6 for the rear. does anyone have these in their trucks? I installed the rear yesterday and really cant tell a difference from the factory ones. are these good speakers or should I return them and get something better? will I hear a difference when I replace the fronts with the gt7-6c components?

I have a 2015 with non JBL factory head and replaced both front and rear speakers with Rockford Fosgate Prime R1675-S 6-3/4" Component System in the front and Rockford Fosgate Prime R1675X2 6-3/4" 2-way Speakers in the rear on Friday. I really noticed a difference getting the tweeters replaced! I think the overall sound quality is an improvement. The system really needs an amp and some better speakers but I did not want to take the time or spend the money. I did use the Taco Tunes tweeter bypass wiring harness, which was helpful.

If you have tweeters, that is the weak link. You will not see improvement (if you have them) unless you replace them.

get the fronts in and go from there. I have been very happy with replacing the stock tweeters / 4 door speakers with some budget pioneer 6x9's and 6.5's and some 0.75in tweeters.
