This was fun rolling back to cbus via 71 before the plows. Of anyone wants to give me their 4wd setup that'd be neat.

That's not snow! We call that frost where I come from! 4wd will just give you a false sense of security on slick stuff. Won't STOP any better.

Drove home though this in my civic. ALL the traffic was in the left two lanes. So I stayed in the far right lane... it amazes me how no one knows how to drive in snow. But I guess I'm the odd ball, I LIKE the white powder

    But fuk salt.

So do the big car wash places stay open when it's this cold or nah?

My BSP is doing a good impersonation of matte white currently.

Try to find a Blue Beacon Truck Wash near you.

They are open 24 hrs a day, no brushes unless you ask for it. Best wash you can get. It is pricey but....worth it.

I think one of those is at the Pilot, or Love's, in Grayson, KY. Probably won't drive 30 minutes for a car wash though

It would be worth the drive for you after a wheeling trip.

1500 - 2000 psi of hot water and good chems.

    (I used to work there....so....)

They also offer services such as a Total De-Mud.

Super expensive, but they will continue to wash until you say stop. They hit every nook and cranny and go nuts, even underneath.

Hmmm. Might be worth a bi-yearly trip then.

I have one close to me, only a 17 mile trip. I typically get it washed there before I detail, because.......................... The soap they use, called "305" will actually strip old wax off.

Yes, I said it. It strips wax off. If you tell them to use heavy 305, expecially on the rubber (tires, mainly) it gets them really really clean. Like, brand new. Dark black.

They also use Hydrafloric (sp?) acid, that is safe for the clear coat and wax but will turn anything aluminum white (supposed to, cleans the pits out really well for polishing).

They also have Rain-X wax and a citrus cleaner at their disposal.

I mean, the dawn I've got on my counter strips wax. I do it twice a year when I actually detail and clay the thing. For now though I just want it to not be as salty as auburn fans.
