We had this dude, we'll call him Brian, because that's his name.

He was big, like super fat. They pulled him out of Iraq and sent him home in late 2003. Ran some tests and sound it was his thyroid that took a shot on him. Since it was a legit medical condition AR 600-9 said he could stay in service (AD). So they sent him back down range to us.

He had to be a gunner since he physically couldn't fit in the driver or TC seat in an uparmor.

One day he was waiting in line for chow in the green zone. Mortar came in and went off about 15m away from him.

His ass was so large it took a bunch of peppering while shielding the 12 soldiers waiting in line in front of him.

Tried to get his ass a BSM-V. 1SG didn't think it was funny.

If I screw up on the basketball court, I bust my ass. If I screw up skiing, I watch my knee fly away in the wrong direction. Nope. Skydiving? Nope. Not taking away from your manliness, but it fails the gravity test. Basically, if gravity is part of the sport...nope.

I'm broke enough already - no need to complicate things even worse than they already are.

Ham bones make for awesome pots of beans or split-pea soup. Me and my pressure cooker are good friends.
