Yea the aviation companies we used weren’t big ones and I know the pilots made >90k starting out from conversations I had with them. We flew citation II and Sikorsky B76 at the time now a C++.

"Will soar"? I am so glad I moved to C. Springs over 20 years ago. I still enjoy going to Denver, and my family is still up there. But my brother has a smaller house, smaller yard, less amenities and his house is more expensive than mine. I know there is better paying work up there, but is it worth it? Not to mention traffic on the main thoroughfares is junk most of the time...

My friend who has a plane told me about what her storage and plane for fuel and stuff runs per year... It really wasn't bad at all. Probably less than I invested in the Tacoma. And she flies quite a bit. But it's a little two seater putt putt plane not a G5. But she's about to backpack out of it, fly and land on a road and set up a tent. Badass way to explore!

True, Piston engine planes can be cheap (run regular gas too) and FAA doesn't require any of their usually required maintenance inspections on certain classes.

So, do others holster their pistol by putting the palm of your hand on the end/back of the slide (on a hammerless pistol)? I can't picture this.

@Gramps I am wondering if you would be willing to do a brief stint of Bushwacker Fender consulting for me, in exchange for beers of your choice?

You may be simply too busy, and in that case, I'll understand too.

    Yeah, it's pretty frustrating.

I think I will eventually move away.

Wait long enough and it'll fix itself at least a little.

And +1 to getting the hell away from people. :D

I'm not sure how people are willing to give up so much freedom, time and money just to work and deal with the BS associated with big cities. Move away, make less on a lower cost of living area and enjoy life instead of wasting away hoping for a retirement 60 years down the road.

Wife and I are all for that. We have been looking for land. A minimum of 10 acres but it's so hard to find anything that's less than $250k with a small house on it.

Well, when you want silly things like water and electricity ;) it makes it tough. I've seen several mining claim properties with an old cabin or home on them for pretty darn cheap... but no hope of water or electricity without paying dearly for it.

Yep, water and electricity is the thing you can't find for a decent price. I have found some sweet cabins on 30 acres but no water or electricity. How are solar panels coming along? Any hope in the near future with being able to run a well off of them?
