What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

So after I took the front end apart to swap out the steering knuckles the power steering system started acting weird. I was turning the steering wheel lock to lock to have access to the tie rods and then I heard the power steering reservoir literally farting and leaking ATF everywhere. It sounds like there is a lot of air in the system from when the steering wasn't connected to anything.

Can I bleed the system? I have no idea how power steering systems work bleed wise.

 

What’s a good fuse box I want to clean up my engine bay from all the wires from the light bar and other accessories

x2 on Bussman. Some people on here build them for a good price if you don't want to buy all the stuff to make one and tools. Paranoid Fab makes a nice bracket to mount them in engine bay if your an 02-04..

The ones people build on here are a good price, the only reason I'm doing it myself if i'm building 3 and maybe a 4th down the road so that helps justify the price of the tools

yeah for fused circuits.

The bussman is smaller though and hold 5 relays as well. So you can have 5 relayed circuits and 5 fused ones.

So ultimately it is not as clean of a setup.

 

ah ok, i was planning on using one of those for lights and cb radio. light duty stuff. while my stereo, winch and air compressor would be directly to the battery. unless the bussman would work for everything. planning on having as much lights on my rig as you Monte lol

 

Just turn it lock to lock slowly about 15 or 20 times.

 

a Bussman can only do 80amps. Which i think is the same as the Bluesea box too.

The Bussman is great for lights though because it has relays built into it. The bluesea does not so you'd have to mount relays somewhere else. CB you want direct to battery anyways to avoid interference. The air compressor could go through the bussman, just not with a lot of other stuff on at the time.

 

so lights and air compressor on the bussman would do great. (as long as the lights are off) well its only $10-$15 more i'll support a TW member for that plus if it looks cleaner means less of a headache for me in the long run lol

 

Yeah and you can add a fridge to it or other things.

 

thats the one thing i wont add is a fridge cause i'd stock it up with steaks, beer, bacon and booze lol be everyones friend at TW meets XD. but it would be great on a mod day

 

I'd like an update when the wheeling happens, buddy has those in a 33x12.5 and I felt like my 265s did better....

 

you got it i love the looks of these things already. atm im on stock UCA's but will be ordering the allpro ucas around the 12th this month so i'll do a comparison on that as well. i went with these cause a friend of mine had them in 33's as well and they wore like iron. im hoping they do better then my bfg ko2's a/t
