What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Well I’ve been driving it. Deffinetly seems tighter than before. The carrier bearing was toast.

I’ll take a look at it tomorrow to see if any grease is coming out anywhere. And I’ll also take a look at the type of grease I put in there.

I just lost all power on my 01 any ideas
Battery was fine I put the key in it beeped like it normally would when the door was open, then like a light switch it was off

 

just realized that i have stock 4.10 diff gears on 265's............ i better up it to 4.56's as well. i swear this list keeps growing lmao but i love it and my truck deserves it

Jump it. Check the terminal ends are clean and tight. How old is the battery?

 

The battery is fine
A few months old
It was like a relay or fuse blew but is there one that would kill power to everything

 

The main.but it's hard to blow it. Most times what your saying is discharged battery or loose terminal.

 

Start the easy way, put power to the battery , so we know it's got juice and work from there.

Check the fuse box and the alt fuse.

Clean Battery Terminals & Battery cables-Had the same happen to me -Battery was fine & I had cleaned the terminals/cables in November . looked clean, Not.
