I installed my license plate lights a few weeks ago and a friend, who has the same year/model truck was told that his right light flickers/goes out. I checked mine (whiling going in reverse) and noticed it does the same thing...coincidence we both have a bad right bulb or both of the lights being LED causing this? It's not always the same flicker/outage either.

    Anybody else having this issue?

There is a tsb for the plate lights. Put in your regular bulbs and see if the issue still persists. If it does take back to the dealer with the regular bulbs in. If the problem goes away buy a better quality led bulbs.

There is V6 Triton in Amber on the right vs stock on the left.

No hyper flashing with headlights on or off. Yes I have VLEDS in the tails as well.

Very happy with them, no resistors anywhere and no hyperflashing under any conditions. Everything was plug and play. Completed the entire truck with exception to front side markers as I can’t get my hand in there, and Low and High beams. I’m done.

Turn signals in mirrors are Meso V3 smoked. Love this truck.

Looking through product details both companies use an identical breakdown image in the description. I see they don’t list the same LEDs however, the cheaper one says it puts out more light.

So maybe not identical as they have different chips, and maybe different style connectors but I’d say it’s at minimum the same body.

Thank you for this! Always love a good shopping list. For the DCLB you would just add 1 more dome light?

Looking good! No hyperflashing at all right? I’m definitely interested in the Tritons, they look great on your truck.

Correct. No hyperflashing under any condition. I bought the reisitors that go in line with the Triton connectors so they are plug and play even if I did need them. So this way all factory wiring is 100% intact and no issues if I need to go to stock.

Only downside is the cost. Doing the whole truck cost a ton of money lol. My Pro deserves it though!

Also, I really like that when the low beams or whole truck is off, there are no stray amber reflections in there now. But all the interior is done in 5K, beautiful crisp and white. Tails are super bright, reverse is just bonkers. I did plate lights in 6K to match the cargo lights better, all in all output is way and more modern looking. Everything looks great.

When I need to replace my HIDs I’ll go micro in LB and HB, and when I do something up front like a winch or hidden recovery I’ll do side markers then. That will complete my conversion.

What's the best bulb for a long distance high beam? Without braking the bank.

I grabbed a pair of Hella High Performance 2.0 and I’m very happy for the price. Doubt they are the best but best and not expensive aren’t normally friends. Just holding me over till LEDS

Uhhhh. Best as in? Do you mind tapping into wiring for resistors? Do you want most output? Easiest install? Best value?

I’ve done nearly the entire truck in VLEDS and it’s awesome, no resistors needed but sure as hell isn’t the cheapest.

Anyone else have issues installing the recommended 31mm dome light? I feel like I’m going to break something trying to force it in the housing.

Mine was tight and awkward to put in. Make sure the tip of the bulb goes onto the hole on one side then pop the other side in. I had to use a air of small needle nose on the barrel side of the bulb.

If I use the "Auto" on/off for my lights the fogs automatically come on.

No worries. I did long life in the map lights but the high output 29mm dome light to keep the same amount of light in the front and back. Otherwise you can’t see well in the back because the front is too bring in comparison. So this way it’s the same number of LEDs up front and in back so much better balance.

I just replaced my dome light with LED and it was tight. I wedged it in the socket where it fits in the hole, but the metal clip part is under tension. I tightly wedged it in and it works so far.

I was installing the generic bulbs through Partsam via Amazon. It's the kit for $15. We'll see how long they last but it got me into the LED upgrade at least. My main motivation was better interior lights.
