Your body shop should be able to locate a Drivers side box "skin"

They’re definitely around... my old stepside was totaled recently, and I don’t know if they (insurance) parted it out or sold it as is, but if it went to a scrapyard then I bet the bed or bedsides might still be available.

    OME and worth every penny.
They made them in 2000 I know because I had one a short while, I thought '99 also.
They didn't seem uncommon to me back when in production. When someone said they bought a 'little' Tacoma I asked "stepside or fleet"

That's what I'm talking about from a Parts yard-Your body shop can get this & install, you don't have to chase parts unless it's the last resort to replacing the stepside'

Yes, there are two left in the country. I wouldn't be able to ship it to you, I would check with your local Toyota dealer. Part number is 65600-04300

OP, Let your body shop find & order the parts-They know what parts they need to fix the truck & you'll avoid lots of BS.

Hope Bowhunters65 was able to fix his.

I have a 2002 stepside. Very hard to find a shell for it, when I do it's way out of my price range. Found a shell that barely fits.
Still get a few inches water in the bed when it rains.

Mine was hit pretty hard about 5 years ago hit and run. I got the guys license plate and he had insurance go figure. Mine was hit from behind and had the left bedside replaced as well. My bed was almost perfect as I bought it new and drove it to the back of the parts department and had them drop the plastic bedliner in. Except for rubbing it was near mint. I wanted to inspect all the work done before they put the plastic liner in . Looks like your floor is damaged and will probably take at least 2 pieces. The only thing they couldn't get right was the floor. It wont look factory. The season adjuster said it would be 3k in repairs. I told her no way it would be that low. Mine was 10K in repairs using all factory new panels. The only thing I would be concerned about is the rocker panel under the xtra cab on your truck.

They did a great job on the repair.
