I don't usually indulge in nice things because I'd have to stick an even bigger stick up my ass to make my palate sophisticated enough to taste the difference between neat and on the rocks.

My preference is neat because I'm unsophisticated; however, preference of drink has nothing to do with manliness or lack of. My opinion probably should be taken with a grain of salt because I typically prefer the more economical choices for social outings due to drink-ability. I do enjoy craft brews but drinking a dozen of them in an afternoon is not enjoyable.

I can respect that. I’ve come to the conclusion as I’ve “matured” (if you can even call it that) is that life is too short for bad coffee, skanky beer, and cheap booze. And cheap isn’t necessarily referring to price - there are great selections to be had at very good prices. It’s just that after years of only have shitty choices, I have reached a point where I will never again (willingly) drink bad coffee, beer, or booze because I don’t have to.

From the website of all things manly...

Second, unless you want to be the subject of ridicule, don't order your malt on the rocks. Ice numbs the tongue and melts too fast. You eitherdrink it neat or with a drop of water to open the flavours. Drinking it on therocks is only acceptable if you're drinking a blended whisky or if it's scorching outside.

So I'm OK drinking it neat Cap ;)
