    hello..
    how do you do..??

in fact.. i don't own a tacoma.. yet...
i plan to buy one in a couple of months.. so i started gathering information and found this forum just today...

frankly speaking.. i am a performance sedan enthusiast...
i currently drive a 2012 bmw 550xi.. (previous one was 2004 acura tl.. which i think quite great for the money that i paid...) and my wife drives a minivan...

the problem started with the birth of my fourth child about three years ago...

with four kids.. i am getting tired of removing carseats.. taking out middle row seats.. folding down the third row.. whenever i have to carry oversized boxes.. garden supplys and etc...
of course.. i have to put all carseats back once hauling is over for my wife to drive the vehicle with kids to schools and other activities...

i couldn't find any altenative solution except replacing the bimmer with a light pickup truck...
(since i haven't purchased a pickup truck.. any better solutions will be welcomed...)
i have been hesitating to make a firm decision to get a pickup truck until recently since i really like my bimmer (0-60mph < 5 secs) and think it is waste of money to trade in the bimmer for a pickup truck.. even if i understand that happyness with bimmer < convenience with a pickup truck...

fortunately(?).. my parents helped me to make the decision... they are moving into my area in the next month and want to take my bimmer.. so i plan to get a 2018 tacoma limited with bakflip mx4 tonneau.. soon...

i am pretty excited since this will be my first pickup truck... i have been driving mostly low profile sedans and minivans... when i was young.. i used to drive 2.5 and 4 tons cargo trucks whose engines are under the seats... so when i sit on a tacoma at the dealers.. i became a bit nervous since the hood completely blocks front under view.. which i never experienced... i wish i get used to the pickup trucks pretty quickly...

i have pretty good driving records.. no tickets for past 20+ years.. no accidents.. never touched other vehicles with my cars.. but still pretty nervous with the view from the driver's seat...

i love manual transmission (bimmer is the only exception since x drive only comes with automatic) but recently i got tennis elbow and decided to go with automatic since it could get worse...

ah.. i was just say hello to tacoma owners.. but it seems the intro became unnecessarily long..??
    thanks for reading...

    /kim
