I went with 2 inch tow ring, so my soft shackles work the perfect :cookiemonster:

    Fuck that.
    Shittybilt one haha

Beat to shit from dragging off rocks but who cares. Not a fashion accessory. And if it was at least looks legit that it's used.

Leaving a shackle exposed to elements seems stupid to me. The amount of them I've had to cut off at work because they seized together and you can't open them again.

The road is 'NOT MAINTAINED' under authority of the "HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT ACT'... that's a good one.

I should have taken a picture of the sign we passed, it was just the top part, nothing about highway act. I know where a few more are, I will get a shot next time. :bananadead:

OK so for winter tires based on availability, I'm down to the Arctic claw which i can get for $746
Dunlop winter max for $918, Hankooks for $940, or Bridgestone blizacks DMV-2 for $1000

    Thoughts?

Neither, they are all shit for winter, and Ko2s are shit in general that I sold them after 3 months of use, horrible in the rain, horrible on the highway and traction on rocks is no better than any other AT tires.
Get Nokian Hakkapeliitta r2 for winter.

Hearing all the hate on K02's is really making me second guess my next rubber purchase. I just see them perform on everyones rigs so well, I dont understand how they can be hated so much.

Yes the Hakka R2's are the popular ones here, I gots em and LOVE them in the snow / slush / ice. I am surprised how much better they perform on straight ice than my AT's

Well it always depends on the use case, but if you do more than 80% of pavement driving they are no good, they are super slippery on the wet roads, they don't grab well at high speeds (100km/h +) and the stopping distance is bad too I noticed.

My next set for summer will be Yokohama Geolandar AT G015, they seems to be great on road and good performance off the road.

Hopefully it will take only one Taco if I get stuck. Depending on how much snow there is, I might just have to leave the RAM at the trailhead and jump in with someone for the ride.
