I didn't really see my dad this past weekend, so I didn't get a chance to ask him about doing the electrical work. I did ask my cousins (they are brothers and so side jobs together), but they said they wouldn't really go out there... those picky little bastards said they only stay around here.

So I figured I start with CT people, if this is in the wrong place to ask let me know.

I've got a 2012 SR5 with the horrible steel wheel/hubcap combo shown. I've just acquired the nicer wheels pictured. Does anyone know if I'll need to get new lugnuts before installing the new to me wheels. I'd like to show up to the tire shop with all I need.

My guess is that the lugnuts would be the same, but that's just a guess. The wheels you have on there now, are them OEM wheels?

 

No idea if they are OEM, bought the truck Used and not from a Toyota dealer.

 

Can you post a picture of the lug nuts? They don't look like OEM from the picture but it is hard to tell.

I like the new wheels.

 

If the old wheels are standard 'steel' wheels, they will have acorn style lug nuts. The alloys use a shoulder style lug nut.

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday eve. What's everyone doing as far as work? Waiting for my job to make a decision. Won't make one until 7. Probably staying home and working.

 

It’s a work day here. Got a barge headed for Albany. Visibility is down to a mile in this snow, and once we get a little further up we will be crushing Ice the rest of the way.

Same here... on the working from home and sleeping in a little part. I called our emergency number and said business as usual. I was like, WTF??!! A second after I got the text that said they are open but will re-evaluate at 8, to use your judgement, work from home or use PTO. texted my co-worker, he's not much into driving in the snow, so he said no way he was going in, he'll work from home. I'm doing the same then!
