    Man it's interesting seeing all of you guys in for the long haul; I'm sitting here at a few months from 3 years, tempted to go try somewhere new but, worried that I wouldn't find a similar setup somewhere else. Where I'm at I get to have a hand in every step; design, assembly, & testing. 2 man show for my department, where I have seniority in terms of this company but not in engineering to my boss.

    Morning all :turtleride: Inventory week trying to use a new system/process and an audit on Friday......we love making it difficult:frusty:

    I warned a friend (since Kindergarten!) he was job hopping too much, would bite him in the arse soon, show some stability.
    I worked 18 years at my company, he hopped all over the place.
    I ended up with seniority (on call always for everything) & more vacation time than I could possibly take.
    He ended up with lots of vacation time, the ability to take it & the income to go cool places on vacation. His income more than double mine.
    In this world - hop for income. Hop for experience to learn what's out there & what you like. Leave on good terms & you can always go back at a higher salary.
    YMMV.

    I've always heard something similar to his, about hoping from place to place, that it was "good" for experience, etc. Makes sense to me. And definitely always leave on good terms.

    Quick question: on a gen 2, DRL and turn signal use the same bulb. Which wire is hot, which is ground? One is green, the other is white with a black stripe.

    Easiest way to climb the corporate ladder is to jump around every 2 to 3 years. I like my role at my company and enjoy working for my company, which is why I'm fine with not jumping around right now. But if things at work change, I won't hesitate.
