Mine has been starting rough past few days, may need a new one too. 3 degrees today, gonna get up to 20

 

The high is 35 today. Heat wave!

 

Tomorrow is gonna be brutal.
Gotta prep the snowblower and the generators.

 

Even with my brand new group 31 battery, it’s a little slow to start on super cold mornings. A battery warmer would probably help with that, and they’re cheap.

 

Yeah tomorrow is a high of 25° with winds at 20-30 mph. It’ll be rough.

 

Bunch of trees on my property. The past few days loaded up the branches and iced over. Everything is brittle and all they need now is a snowstorm and wind and they start coming down.

Going to pick up a quart of lighter weight chainsaw oil today. The regular stuff is THICK and barely moves in the cold.

 

Do you have one? Might have to get one, been colder than normal.

Going to get a bunch of snow and high winds here. Probably get a bunch of overtime out of it

 

What are the procedures to fully cycle a deep cycle battery?

 

Get some winter weight oil, all my oil froze up had to warm up under exhaust yesterday

Use the “Cold Weather” program. Or if really weak battery, use the “Recondition” program.

 

No, but I kinda want to try. There’s one for $29 that has good reviews. I’ll try it on the car first and see how it works.

I don’t know, use it until the battery is low? Deep cycle just means you can constantly run it really low, and it doesn’t hurt it like it would a normal battery.

 

High of 14 today! That might mean mods!

 

I am done. All my mods will have to wait until at least 50 degrees.

Next thing I am buying is a tire though.

That looks cool! Only thing I would be mildly concerned about is putting a heavy load on top of the aluminum drawers. Not sure how well they'd handle the weight.

 

I would still need to figure out something for the sides/top. Im not sure if thicker aluminum would work? Or if a plexiglass/acrylic sheet could work, and be stronger than aluminum sheet..

If the expanded bars like a Prinsu were used, then something could slide into the slots, and then be secured with the corners. Eliminating the need for corner welding/attachment. But still would need something strong.

 

For the storm tomorrow, everyone at Costco buying their bread, milk, water and toilet paper.
