Definitely gets addicting! You should checkout the Southern California section, there’s always a group going out wheeling! Probably see you on one of those wheeling trips!

Black vinyl Tacoma inserts. Very subtle but for $8 I like it. Matches the plasti-dipped badging.

Yea I remember your post with those. No offense but I’m not paying $100 for lettering. $8 free shipping & im pleased.

It was more of a trial anyways to see if matte black lettering would look good on the side of the bed. I think it will, I liked the one guy’s flat black lettering he had.

I do like the way yours looks though. But like I said I’m happy with the very subtle difference that $8 made. It finished the unfinished area:

Fair enough and glad your happy with what you did. Lots of options out there that look really good.

Just wanted to update you on my taillights. Did the Diode Dynamic Tail as Turn Module. Thanks to many who helped on ... Tail Light Mod (both lights used as brake and signals). Wanted max light output - went with DD LEDs 510 lumens.

Here’s a pic of before and after compared to my Lexus and 02 4Runner ( keep in mind my taillights are tinted dark to 15%).[IMG]

So how do y’all keep your black tacos clean? Wondering if the new 2018 midnight black metallic is easier to keep clean or more prone to scratches than the previous black

There are some good info earlier in thread.

Personally, I never wash or dry by hand. I go to hands free car wash for routine wash and then use my Metro Masterblaster to dry off. Little pricey but I hardly have any swirls on mine. Only time I hand wash is when I’m prepping to polish and wax with my Chemical Guys stuff ( even then, I run thru car wash first).

Love my SR. ^ I wash and dry by hand, then use Meguiar's quick detail, wax every 3 months.

I've been pressure washing, then using the 16$ foam cannon, then hand drying and using the c2v3 for the final. It's not perfect and I definitely have swirls, but hopefully she'll be paid off and a vinyl wrap won't seem so crazy by then.
