While I still hate both, I think I hate summer less, as with summer my hands don't hurt if I'm outside too long, i just get sweaty.

I tell ya, I am not digging what the sides of my truck look like with the little bit of poke I have on the new tires without any mud flaps this winter. I expected it to be worse but damn. Although I am not sure the OEM flaps would make any difference. I wish those damn RokBlokz weren't so expensive. If I could find two tractor trailer flaps somewhere :spy:. If so I bet I could make 4 outta them. I still have a little bit of rub on the front fender wheel at half turn dipping into turns when I brake at the same time. The rub doesn't bug me but with flaps back on it would be worse. I really don't want to adjust the caster to +2 either. My only option is a lift. I would rather not have to spend that kind of coin. However, I am finding myself at the 10 dollar car wash more and more frequently these days.

I bought the RokBlokz pretty soon after buying the truck. It took a couple days of procrastinating, I pulled the trigger. When I sold my Ranger the rocker panels were Swiss cheese due to no front flaps and AT's/MF's since 2003. Behind the rear tires (and flaps) was pristine. RokBlokz are definitely cheaper than new rocker panels if you plan on keeping the truck a decade or so, in my opinion.

Every time I pass the brushless/touchless shops, I see the lines... I move on. I keep forgetting I work evening shifts and a stop by one before I head home would probably mean less people.

I’d have to say the people that own these on the east coast must be so happy during the salt months.

Yea, I had to cheap out like that considering I am keeping it for a while. Just some things I can justify and some things I can't. Knowing it is just a piece of rubber at that price bugs me.

I mean, how hard would it be to cut something like this with a jig saw and then clean it up with a palm sander?

    https://www.raneystruckparts.com/an...4MsMlEgQXu1aQ83oqsjxeA5nK9G-8djxoC2U8QAvD_BwE

That's 44 bucks total for reinforced.

Stopped at Buds in Hickory last night to run my Lexus through. I got caught here in the city with it the snow storm before last. Wanted to get it done and get the salt off so I can park it in the garage once and for all for the winter. From now on I will only use it when there is absolutely no chance of snow on the east coast. Our weather people suck at guessing.

I thought about buying the monthly deal for the truck. They charge you 90 bucks for 3 months and it is unlimited. If it was 4 months for the same price I would do it. Then I could stop by every night on my way home..........

I agree, they make money hand over fist at Buds. There were 3 of 4 bays being used last night at 8 pm. I only use the touchless though. You never know when someone is gonna run through after off roading up where I live and leave all the sand behind on those brushes or tentacles. Sca-rew that.

Napa sells tractor trailer mud flaps. I bought one there and cut it to make mud flaps for when I tow my camper. Not the prettiest but they protected the front my fiberglass camper from stone chips & dirt. I unbolt the factory ones & bolt these on, 3 bolts per side.
