For every buyer, there is a seller. If you thought the price was too high, you could have countered with what you wanted to pay; that’s called “negotiating”, and it always happens on Craigslist, where most people try to get something for next to nothing.

Again, educate yourself.

It’s a pretty easy install; you have to remove the console lid and the two bolts that secure the console to the rest of the truck. Drop the console in, run the two bolts back in, reattach the lid, and you’re done. I can show you, if need be.

To me that conversation reflects worse on you than on him. Not everyone likes to haggle. If they find the list price too high and want to move on, that’s their choice. He had the courtesy to let you know he was moving on, and that’s all one can expect. Someone who haggles the price down and then still doesn’t buy is much worse. As for educating him, you spent just a couple of minutes on it explaining what you are actually selling, so fussing over it is juvenile.
