Just got home after an all hands in service at 4:45.

 

I’m paying about $450 a year to the town for my truck, another $95 every 2 yrs to DMV

What is Sound Transit?

Every 2 years? Our tags and registration are paid yearly at the same time. I think this years was around 540.

 

Yea our local vehicle taxes are separate from out state registrations.

 

Sound Transit is a commuter train in the Seattle area. They're going to expand the coverage, so it's costing all of us in the three counties way more money, regardless if we use it or not.

 

So I just heard. You people from Oregon can now pump your own gas? How do you feel about that?

The dreaded "weather bomb". I'm sure we'll get the spinoff but I'm having a hard time thinking it could get worse. Enough already!

 

Is this "weather bomb" an actual meteorological term? I've never heard of it before.

I think some jack wagon sits around with his weather man cronies, smoking weed, trying to come up with the most ridiculous term they can come up with. When the term sticks, someone wins a pot of money and gets bragging rights for the name. I dunno.

The same goes with naming every storm event above a flurry or drizzle. Just stupid.

 

It's the real deal I'm afraid. Last I heard the barometer dropped like 23kpa & I guess that's the old signal for weather to go bat shit crazy. Last time we had one up here, it spurred up an F5 twister.

 

So the barometric pressure is around 23"/Hg in that mass?

 

I don't know what it is in Hg but it's around 80kpa or so they say.

 

I just did a conversion. That 80kps is about 23 in/Hg. That is pretty low air pressure.

 

Just got it. Pressure dropped 43mb since 9AM. Anything over 23 is classed a bomb.
