I'm interested in a snorkel as a place to attach enhanced filtering, as was needed during the Mt. St. Helens eruption.

Building a redneck kit to slap on if needed is an option, as well.

Might as well put your pipes out the hood at the same time. Never know when you are going to have to drive through a pyroclastic mud flow: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M8b9Xitgr-8

I know with your skills, you can design and print exactly what you need for a coupler. I will agree with several of the folks her and suggest going full Me-So on the thing.

One out of the box thought, lots of work, but could be just what you need without creating or increasing any blind spots/obstructions. Come through the hood with a low profile intake a bit like the Camero, pointing towards the wind sheild. Possibly all the way across the hood, you could occupy the recessed area on the back edge of the hood increasing the height only slightly (below the current hood line from the cab), something like a decodrain or channel drain. You could design & print it. The scoop then links to the air box via a duct on the passenger side just in front of the firewall. The link could either be a flexible section of duct or an open port that links when the hood closes, much like most hood mounted scoops that actually pull air.

    Good luck!!

    Alright,.,. I'm getting somewhere.
After hacking it up.. it hugs the A pillar close to perfect. It's also still low enough to clear my light bar/fairing when it's done.
The hardest part will be the transition into the fender. But you can see by my awesome sharpie skillz where the 3D printed coupler will sit.

Still a work in progress.. but there's hope.

It's really not that protruding(although I've never had a snorkel) Even from inside the cab, all I can really see is the inlet grill and a little sliver of the piping itself.

The inside fender transitional piece that came with the kit is damn perfect. Slim enough to clear the firewall and put the 3" ducting right in line with the stock intake hole.

FYI.. rubbing alcohol removes sharpie ink in seconds. It dissolves the ink so do not try on porous surfaces. :hattip:

    I meant 2**
I wanted the side ram scoop from one company.. but of course at the base where it met the fender did not conjecture.
2nd snorkel used the base but chopped off the "blow dryer" scoop and heated up the side inlet
