I’m gonna be in about a grand for my 4.10’s. ECGS for the rear E Locker 3rd and ebay for the 4 banger front.

So.... I have been reading....and reading..... I currently have 265/70-17s with Cooper Disc STT Pro and according to an equation I found on the internet, this must be true....
    Current gear ratio = 3.73
    OEM Tire Diam (265/65-17)= 30.56"
Cooper Disc STT Pro diam (265/70-17)= 31.93"
    Target gear Ratio = 3.73 *(31.93"/30.56") = 3.90
    Tire weight = 54lbs
Overall I notice the truck is a bit more sluggish than when i had my 265/70-17 BFG A/T KOs (diam =31.7" & weight = 46lbs)..... I have the AT and pretty much leave it in 4 for "city" driving, and only put it in D on the highway...

was thinking for my next round of tires I may go up to 285/70-17 .....
    Current gear ratio = 3.73
    OEM Tire Diam (265/65-17)= 30.56"
Cooper Disc STT Pro diam =(285/70-17)= 33.03"
    Target gear Ratio = 3.73 *(33.03"/30.56") = 4.03
Was thinking of going to 4.10 gearing when I do this...... does this figuring look reasonable? I don't mind that my figuring falls a bit shy of 4.10, I would rather have a little more torque....

Is a little more torque worth the money for your uses? I could really use a little more torque with all of the hauling and towing I do, but can't yet justify the expense.

Your math is correct but that only accounts for increased diameter and neglects the increased rotational inertia of the larger tires. Rotational inertia will vary with the square of the radius; in this case a rough estimate of the increase in rotational inertia would be about 15% despite only changing your diameter by aprox 8%. (Simplified assuming tires are a hoop which is not correct but would be the worst case scenario)

im a little over 100# a corner, having 4.88s took a lot of stress off the engine and drivelines.

Just wondering if updating your ECU with OVtuned will help with your power loss and gear shift points.
