To me it looks like there’s a 1 mph difference between the two. Seems like the digital speedometer is reading correctly because I’ve gone through those radar speed limit signs and it reads the same as the digital.
Wondering if that’s the outcome of changing my wheel size from 16”to 17”?
Does anyone else have this issue?

Mine is the same: Digital reads 1-2mph lower than the analog and the digital seems more accurate. Everything is stock on my truck’s drivetrain.

The GPS will be very accurate at a steady speed in a straight line. So many factors affect how often a wheel spins in a mile like tire wear, tire pressure, lateral movement, dips & bumps, etc. That being said, both measurements in the truck should be the same since both use the same method of measurement.

I didnt Notice it until after I changed my tire size but I’m assuming I only Noticed it because of the threads I was Reading about how changing wheel sizes affect speedometers.

1 off too, but I think its the angle at which you look at the speedo

More than likely, this is your cause. My speedo is completely off. I went from Stock size to 285/75. I'm off between 3-5mph at all times.

Same. The digital is spot on, plus i never look at the analog, so doesnt really much matter.

I thought That too at first but at most Angles that you look at it, it is still off by 1. I rather have the analog but it seems like that’s the one that’s off.

It will never be dead on, when I was a technician for Toyota I think they said 1-3 mph

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I think the "key " is look at the differences in the "stock" tire/wheel sizes throughout the whole model variation. I first noticed a difference when I had my truck new, with the 245/75/16 Firestones that came on the truck -- I was getting a diff in the reading on the Garmin I was using, of 1-2 mph
I switched to my 4runner 17's in a 265/65/17 and I seems to be right on now. Since Toyota puts out 3-4 different sizes of wheels/tires, I think they "ballpark" "it" when "calibrating" (--not so") the speedo!

I have noticed this with mine as well. Totally stock, same rough difference. Also noticed how the needle can move faster or slower and the digital stays the same.

That’s too bad Toyota can’t get simple stuff like this right. My other ride (BMW X1) has no issues reading the same between the display and the needle.
