Westbound and Down: The LGAA planning thread

I thought the FJ Summit was in May

 

Now Im jealous you'll all be going this year lol

 

Probably sleeping in the truck. I could do a slim-line roof box and still be able to pack pretty much everything else into the cabin of the 4R while still having room to put a mattress on top of the cabinets. Might have to remove the rear seats but they're no use anyways haha

The real question is, what would everyone's plan be for food and such? Refrigerators? Heavy duty coolers and ice?

 

Ill be in a RTT. I like the idea of getting groceries for the next couple days, but not the idea of all that ice

 

Same. Maybe we all plan to leave from home with food for 2-3 days then plan to hit a supermarket every 2-3 after is possible?

 

Yes. That was my original plan when I went north. But ended up enjoying local foods.

 

Are these places heavily trafficked on Labor Day weekend? Avoiding that weekend might be better for avoiding traffic. But I don't know anything about traffic where we're going.

 

When I was up north, and hit some Boston traffic, I had tons of lookers at my truck. Was nice to be in the spotlight if only for a little bit

DC traffic sucks. When I picked up @Redmann gf from the bus station, it took us an hour to get back.. maybe 15 miles.

DC rush hour is from 3:30pm - 7:30pm unless there is some accident or less than 1" of snow

 

Does that include the getting lost?

 

seriously?? it starts at like 2:30 and doesn't end until the next day haha
seriously though i've been stuck leaving the airport at 11pm before, but that was from construction. probably ends around 7:30-8pm

 

I dont know. I dont go to DC anymore. Too many people
