Switchpro progress. Not looking forward to redoing a lot of existing wiring when it is 20 degrees out.

I can’t tell, was the rack connected from the topper to the cab? Almost looks like what you’d expect the torsion that would cause would do.

Beat me to it. I just installed a JVC (which is related to Kenwood, I believe) and my Android Auto would not work because of a parking brake issue. I pulled the unit out and grounded the blue (I think)parking brake wire to the black wire and it works fine now.

    too many lights
Installed AVS in-channel visors, a Sound Ordnance amp, cleaned up a ton of wiring in the cab since I had everything pulled out, secured footwell lights under the front seats with some magnets, and installed some washers under the front bolts on the driver's seat to actually support my legs and not be so park bench. Really wish it didn't move the already close headliner down more but it's so comfortable compared to stock. I somehow managed to take exactly zero pictures of any of this but also broke nothing so I got that going for me.

Yep, @boogie3478 is right. The winch was more for the aspect of being able to put the tent on and take it off by myself. It still was nice to have it stored out of the way, so I may end up installing another electric winch solely for storage.

The 8ft garage was sooooooo nice. Back my truck in, lower the tent, put on the hardware, drive out. I got a quote to get an 8ft garage door installed at my current house and it was $3000-4000. Not ready to pull that trigger.... Yet!

Be careful with the Gorilla hair or Tiger hair or whatever brand you use it has a tendency to shrink. We've used it quite a bit but hate it. It's ok for a temporary fix but i've seen too many a year later it shrank and fell out.
