OEMassive headlights for 2016+ tacos

I got a pair of the SR headlights to see if they accommodate the fact that an SR doesn't have a factory LED. Turns out the back of the lights are the same. The high beam(HB), low beam(LB) and outer turn signal(TS) are obvious, but the DRL is not so much. I think im going to try splicing the three wires from my factory DRL harness onto the three wires on the plug labeled DRL. I'm not sure what the plug on the far left plug is for labeled '?' is for, the SR only has four bulbs/wires and I'm wondering if it is still going to work without that. Does anyone know what that last plug '?' is?

I'm still not entirely sure, but I was told by DTmoto (eBay vendor) that the plug labeled '?' Is for the auto-adjusting headlight feature? Do the TRD models have that? I didn't Realize that they did so I was skeptical until I did more research. I will let you know if I get a definitive answer

 

The connector you have labeled "TS" is not turn signal. It is the side marker running light.
The connector you have labeled "?" Is the turn signal.
You will have to splice the lower DRL harness if you want those to work in your SR

 

I think I am going to buy a set of these unless someone can give me a reason why I shouldnt?
I cannot find any reviews and have never done business with TacomaBeast........anyone have anything to report?

Do you know which colors are supposed to be spliced together from the factory harness to the new headlight? The colors don't match, I can't seem to find the answer to which is color is what and don't want to destroy the lights by making improper connections. The first pic is the driver side harness, the second is the passenger harness, and the third is the new headlight. Thanks if you could help!

So my Opt7 h11 led bulbs will not fit into these? I would need to order h7 bulbs? Anyone put leds in these? Please clarify, thanks homies.

 

H11 will unfortunitely not fit. LED is not an option that i have seen used yet, but i have seen h7 led bulbs available on ebay made by samsung. Did you get your wiring figured out? Are you up and running with them?

 

I have installed them and got them working except for the turn signal and DRL. Since I don't have the factory LED strip I'm waiting on a plug to arrive in the mail which I will splice onto my old harness, and I'm running a new turn signal wire to the fifth plug which my SR doesn't have (also waiting on that plug to arrive). I'm still not sure which color DRL wires splice up yet but I'm going to have my mechanic friend take a look and see if he can figure it out. Will post pictures of install and light output on Monday or Tuesday.

 

So the SR/SR5/Non LED DRL lights aren’t plug & play to get the new LED DRL working. That’s all I needed to know, thanks. Good Luck!

So if these lights require H7 bulbs, can’t I just buy some opt7 h7 led bulbs and pop them in? It’s that easy isn’t it?

 

I complained to oemassive about having a misleading listing title, and they refunded me 15% of the order cost if I wanted to keep the lights, which i did. So I am pretty satisfied with the customer service aspect at least.

As far as I am concerned the housing will not be able to fit LEDs of that nature (opt7). The back of those bulbs are too bulky, because the new housings have caps which you unscrew, put the new bulbs in, put the cap back over the bulbs, then plug the wire into your harness after the bulb is plugged away. It needs to be pretty tiny to fit in there. The Samsung ones that I posted earlier are about the size you need, but I can't imagine that they have substantial light output. I went with HIDs for this kit, which I have always been curious about.
