Can't say as I'm really very impressed by it, lol.

Yep. Every other location in the company can close at the drop of a hat and nobody bats an eye. The ones in NY usually close for weather 8-9 times per year (basically every time it snows, lol). We've been closed due to bad weather ONCE in the 7 years that I've been here, and were allowed to leave early twice. All three times were due to snow events that dropped better than 24 inches, and all three times nobody else in the company was open at all.

 

Yeah we have snow here. Just saw on the news the tail end is still in NC

 

One of the companies we buy from is in VA. I sent an order to them this morning, and got an out of office saying they were closed due to bad weather.

 

Hardly anything here

 

It's coming though... we're getting it right now, not sure if the full thing yet or just starting out. The wind is blowing, so it's coming down sideways.

 

Its starting to come down in Southern NH. Can't wait to drive home this afternoon.

 

Governor just said highways are NOT closed. Time for me to get my arse to work then. Hwy open, work open. Have fun all & dig out your fire hydrants.

 

Morning all. I'm 'working' from home today. Snow is coming down pretty good here. Not going to venture out today, too many jamokes that drive with low profile sport all seasons sliding all over.

 

Pulled one of them off of a bank here in the industrial park I work in this morning

 

we can make toast with it... and then use the milk to soften it if you over toasted the toast

 

My gram always used to make milktoast.

The only time that milk and bread should meet are for french toast, or when the milk has been converted to cheese.

 

I'm trying to weigh out if it's worth trying to go see customers today. It's not bad at my house but I don't wanna get all the way there and they're all freaking out about clearing the lot

 

Morning guys. Looking for a little advice, maybe someone has had a similar situation.

My girlfriend was in the process of buying a car for the last week or so from country Nissan in Hadley, MA. We agreed on a price, put a deposit down, did all the paperwork and everything, but they said they would call us on Monday to confirm and a day and time to pick the car up. Never heard from them until Tuesday and it still wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when it’d be ready. Then we called yesterday and it again, was not ready. It seemed something shady was going on so we backed out of the deal. Just wanted to walk away and find a different car somewhere else. However, they won’t refund the deposit. They’re being very snotty about it and how they’re deposits are non-refundable.

Anyone ever have to deal with something like this? ... I work at a car dealer and have never ever seen something like this happen.

Do they have a reason that the car isn't ready? Is it a special order or something?

I’d have them show you somewhere in writing that your deposit is non-refundable otherwise go through small claims court. They can’t just hold on to your money indefinitely when they can’t hold up their end of the deal. That’s sort of how deals work. Maybe threaten a nice social media blast as well as small claims court if they won’t refund your deposit. It sounds like they screwed up and have too much into the deal to where it’s not a good deal for them so they’re trying to get you to walk away.

 

I believe all deposits are refundable. I'd call shenanigans and demand it back. They can't just take your money.

 

Working from home today but legitimately forgot my damn power cord, so we'll see how much actually gets done.
