    16x7 the w
    16x7 +25 offset (2.5" +4.5" backspace)
    16×8 0 offset ( 4" + 4" backspace)
The tires (10.4") are spread wider but it doesn't mean their offset are coming out of the fender.

You are calculating rim width and not wheel width for backspace; not accounting for 1/2" thickness(industry standard)of flange on each side.

    25mm=1" not 2.5"

Look how far your wheels and tire stick out compared to stock; not 1/2" by any stretch.

I know 25mm is 1". The 2.5"+4.5"=7" is the width of the stock wheel. If the offset of 16x7 has 0 offset means 3.5"+3.5"=7" width of the wheels. 16x8 has 0 offset 4"+4"=8" width.
If the wheel is 16x7, yes you are correct it will come out 1.5" but the wheel 16x8 don't forget 1".

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
You are right in your example. Then take 4 - 2.5 = 1.5" more outboard on each side.

Ahh...okay. Never seen it expressed that way. Common core? :D

This is how I express it:

    16x7 et +25mm
    [(7+1)/2] + [+25mm] = 5" bs

    16x8 et 0
    [(8+1)/2] + [0mm] = 4.5" bs

    16x8 et -12mm
    [(8+1)/2] + [-12mm] = 4" bs

I also have Wilpeak AT3w on my wife’s 4runner and they ride excellent on her truck these tires won’t disappoint and at the price point you just can’t beat it.

However......I am not entirely satisfied with the end results, I still want a slightly wider stance so need to start saving up for new wheels, possibly sell this setup altogether and go 17” we’ll see.

Going from 16" to 17" wont do anything to ur stance. You want to go from 7" wide to 8" or get spacers if u have a limited budget

What size and rating did you go with?
I am close to getting a set, but can't decide between the 265/70/16 and the 265/75/16 (both in the P metric).

I got the 265/75/16 SL 116T, compared to stock size the section width is about the same, the tread width on the 75 is about 1/2” narrower then stock size and about 1” taller, not a huge weight difference between stock. I haven’t noticed any power loss and the mpg’s I haven’t driven enough to really get an average.

For what is worth On the wife’s T4R I got the stock size AT3W’s a little while back and her mpg’s haven’t changed one bit

I appreciate the info. I am leaning towards the 75 to gain about 1/2" of lift...I just don't want to destroy my MPG in the process.

Well we got a few inches of snow here in VA overnight and this morning, first chance to try the tires out on the snow, roads hadn’t been treated or plowed so they iced over on some parts going into the city.
    The tires do great !!

My toyo's are about gone, I may give these a try next. I may try them on the wife's 4runner also.
The toyo's have been good as far as ride, noise, and fuel mileage, but at 45000 miles there is not much tread left on these 60000 mile warranty tires.
