Life is really stupid and I'm extremely frustrated. Feel like I'm on a island in the work world while I stare over at another island where people have "real" jobs.

Apparently working hard and having a brain, does not mean shit. That just gets you walked all over. Apparently I'm not even worth what shit hourly wage I get paid, according to my boss. Apparently it's better to be a massive idiot and go get some stupid little piece of paper from a "university" than whatever the fuck I've been doing for 1- years.

Sounds like you just have the wrong boss. For the coworkers with a degree, how many say some useless thing like "sports administration" or "music theory" that has no relevance to the job?

I've worked with press brake operators that were smarter than some of my fellow degreed engineers. My dad was just a truck driver/equipment operator/basic laborer but he could always outdo me at math.

I personally think apprenticeships should be more widely used to encourage hard work and useful skills.

My degree is in wildlife and fisheries management. I am 1 of about 8.5% of people who I went to school with, who uses their degree for their job. Talk about rolling the dice. I should buy a lotto ticket.

Anyone need to know the gestation period of a Nutria rat? Incubation time for a Coot egg?

    I didn't think so. :p

how likely is a water mocasin to strike if you kick it with your waders in 17 degree weather?

Coworker got one the other day while duck hunting. Said it curled back in strike position surprisingly quick.

About 100% more likely than if you don't try to kick it. Why would anyone do that?

My brother had someone scratch his Tundra and had it fixed at FOX Toyota in Clinton they did really good. Don’t know price or anything. He did get the truck from them as well, don’t know if that makes a difference. Don’t know anyone that has had work done anywhere els, so can’t comment on any other places in the area.

those high school career interest tests always showed forestry agent as #1 suggested career for me. Something about being sciency and not dealing with other people.
I still think it sounds appealing.
