    Been there, done that. Blew the stock ring in the rear 150 miles from home. Pulled the third, took the ring out and the broken teeth. Buttoned it up leaving the rear shaft off and drove backroads home in 4HI FWD. Great way to convince the Mrs. that it's time to upgrade to 4.88s, highly recommended.

    Out the wheel well usually, can just slide it out between the brake lines and body

    Do I need to pull the tranny dipstick? I can’t get it to squeeze anywhere.

    If its in the way a portion of the dipstick pipe can be disconnected.

    I got mine out from the bottom over the steering rack. Wasn't fun, but worked.

    How do you get it? I got the bolt out but can’t get it loose

    Just twist and wiggle and pull, its held in place by an o-ring. When you're ready to put back just lub the o-ring.

    Im pretty sure without massaging the bars under there 32 is gonna be the max diameter

    i have a 33x10.5x15 BFG tucked under mine. Just had to notch the bars and bend them out a little. 5 mins with the angle grinder and you'll be fine.

    I have a 255/80r17 (33x10)

    I just cut the freaking things off. Barely clears the diff.

    And this is why I'll be doing a tire carrier for my rear bumper and in the bed. So I'll have 2 spares and no need to worry about the diff and such. Just got to make sure there's a locking mechanism on them lol
