Snow is great if you embrace winter. Lots of fun to be had.

The right clothes will make or break fun time in the snow. I was good except my shoes, goretex mid high hiking boots + knee high gaitors. They did well enough but if i was going to be in that kind of weather more than a week it would be worth it to buy some insulated boots

Shrug. A 9mm out of a carbine is moving at around the same speed at 100 yards as it is at the muzzle with a 4" pistol. The biggest issue is accounting for drop.

Oops, already covered. That's what I get for not logging on during the weekend

Considering trading my judge for a mp 9c. If a used gun is acquired is it still warrantied by that gun manufacturer?

Well, Id rather be engaging someone at 100 yds with something chambered in a rifle caliber as opposed to a pistol caliber, but that's just me.

Well, same here. But just because something rifle-caliber is better at 100 yards doesn't mean that a PCC is useless. I was just pointing out that at 100 yards a 9mm from a PCC is still traveling as fast as it exits the muzzle of a pistol, so it should have no problem penetrating.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
So to the folks that were following the Taurus recall:

Apparently they decided to discontinue many of the lines of pistols that fell under the recall. They are only allowing people to get one model and caliber of gun for the replacement. I had a 24/7 pro compact in .45acp. Since the "discontinuing" of the lines, I am forced now to get a PT111 9mm or take my chances on a potential of up to $200 if I went the cash route. I bet that after this blows over, they'll have those same lines back up and running in order to save a few dollars on the replacements. I couldn't get in on the Taurus hate before since we've had 3 that were great up until this. Once this is over, no more for me.

Ouch. I've had a few Taurus pistols in the past and never had any issues. The only guns I've had functional issues with in my 25 years of shooting were a Raven .25 and the last 2 Sigs I will ever own (556R and Mosquito). Both made multiple trips back to Sig for warranty work, none of which resulted in functional firearms. They even went so far as to tell me that they could only guarantee functionality if I used the same ammo they tested with...

They make nice wheelguns, I don't trust their other offerings.

Who cares! After 9 rounds, you probably wouldn't want to shoot it again for a while anyway. :D

My 30-06 generates something like 2900, but it's about 1lb heavier than the average AR with a soft foam pad, so less felt recoil.
