LOL.

I'm waiting until it stops snowing... hopefully the wind will stop blowing by then as well.

Can't count on my FIL to come plow cause my MIL called and said the plow wasn't working. My buddy that has a Tundra and works for UPS said they pulled them off the roads a little bit ago. He was going to come plow my driveway, but said his plow was acting up, so he was going home to mess with it.

 

Supposed to be bitter cold in the morning though. I'll probably do it tonight after the snow dies down.

 

i'm gonna take a nap and then go do it again

 

Winds are supposed to continue tomorrow... but not quite as bad. Should be sunny at least.

Im hoping to get out and do some snow kiting tomorrow... but not sure if Ill be able to park anywhere.

 

I'll drop the plow and give the driveway a few sweeps when I get home, but I'm not going to bother with the full monte until it's done snowing tomorrow. It'll just drift back in overnight anyway.

 

The guy diagonally across the street from me is out there snow blowing his driveway right now... Wind is still blowing like crazy, and snow still coming down like crazy. He's just doing extra work for no reason.

 

How do you not have a snowblower

 

She does... it's called her boyfriend.

 

Most people I know with a snowblower spend more time fixing it than using it.

 

Afternoon everyone! I hope everyones snow day is going well! I'm feeling very accomplished right now after clearing enough space in my garage for the truck. So happy i wont have to be digging my truck out anymore this winter!

 

I dunno I grew up in upstate ny and we never had one

 

The only thing I do to mine is put gas in it, clean the carb at the beginning of the season, and fog it at the end of the season. Literally nothing else besides a shear pin here and there.

 

This may sound crazy, but I actually enjoy shoveling snow. My neighbor has mentioned I could use his snowblower, but I prefer the manual method.

 

I grew up shoveling too. It sucked, especially with a decently long sloped double wide driveway at my parents.

I shoveled the first year at my house and that was enough. Snowblower is so much quicker and easier.

I don't see any reason to attempt my driveway until everything stops. I haven't checked the news recently but as of a few hours ago we were still projected to get the most. I'm lazy when it comes to snow removal and would rather just do it once. The wife doesn't have school tomorrow already so that's one less thing to worry about. What's troubling me is the super cold conditions coming up and getting everything done prior to that. I don't want to be outside when it's 6° out if I don't have to be.

I left work at 9 and it was basically 50 yards of visibility. I had it in 4WD since I didn't feel like having to think too much about driving.

 

My dad had a snowblower. Then he decided a snow plow was easier and faster. And good for earning some cash from lazy neighbors

 

Same.

 

I just hate the giant compacted wall at the end of the driveway so I like talking care of it in shifts
