Kinda like how you don't use motor oil in your diffs. Bar and chain oil has better stiction, clings better, and prevents bar wear. Truthfully for the casual user, even if using motor oil, you will probably not wear out your bar and nose sprocket in your lifetime. Using a saw every day like that will make bar replacement at least an annual thing, if not more often. When I was a climber, I ended up getting a new chain every 4-5 weeks depending on what I was cutting. But I usually ran a file over my teeth after work every day and a good filing once a week to make sure the teeth were all up to snuff. And that was with the saw NEVER being used on the ground, so no dirt/rock hits. Even with that usage, I never replaced a bar on my climbing saw. But I regularly cleaned my bar, and also trued it up.

Damn Subway refuses to go out in the cold, wind driven snow.

I open the door, she sticks her head out, then she brings her head back in and that’s that.

I’m not sure she can hold it any longer.

I don’t have a clue what it’s called. Bought it at Rocklers Woodworker store ~20 years ago.

You can borrow it if you want. I can bring it to the cheesesteak meet up.

I'm itching for some wheeling time :(
    Gotta work Sunday. Fml
In other news, I got big plans for my junk. Since parenthood took effect months ago. I haven't been able to wheel or buy anything to the truck that can prepare it for some better trails. So I decided to make my truck more fun for daily driving. I bought a supercharger and meth kit . Should be fun once I get everything tuned and dialed in.

Snow blowing sucks. You must be a newb. I thought it would be cool ten years ago when I moved here from Seattle.

    That got old quickly.

Brutal cold, wind driven snow stinging you in the face, then it gets hot underneath all the layers. Then it gets cold AND wet.

Then you have to do it all over again when the snow piles up AND when the county plows a five foot mountain onto your driveway head.

Then your child grows up a little and volunteers to do it for gas money. She does a half ass job, but you still have to pay her AND finish the job.

18 minutes. That’s slow. Pick it up next time.

Last time I saw you, you didn’t look like a spring chicken.

I’m pretty sure you’re old enough to be my eldest son, or my younger brother.
