So, after doing my winch install and relocating my lightbar, I found that the lightbar was trying to communicate with aliens.

    I replaced it with 3x 12" bars

3 12s you are putting out some serious light. I was considering 2 8s for mine!

The drivers side isn't so bad if you remove the battery. That fucking washer fluid tank on the passenger side though is a fuckin pain

Newb question: Do aftermarket bumpers (or even brush guards) cause any interference with airbag sensors, crumple zones, other crash-testy stuff? I appreciate being impervious to minor bumps and bruises, but isn't the truck meant to collapse in certain places for your own safety? Just curious. All these customized trucks look awesome, and I'm especially impressed with the DIYers, but I can't help wondering how it affects other parts of the system.

I was in an accident with my 2012 Tacoma. Aftermarket plate bumper. Crumple zones in the frame still acted properly, airbags still deployed. Truck was a writeoff but I fell everything acted as it should. 70km/h to 0 instantly. I crawled out my window, totally fine.

Because I like justifying my bumper, I say that it shouldn't affect your safety significantly. The crumple zone isn't in the bumper itself, it tends to be behind it, hints the term crash bar for where your bumper actually mounts. It will definitely protect the truck more at low-medium speed impacts, but realistically if you hit something hard it should still crumple and do it's job keeping you safe

Hoist installed for RTT + rack. Still need to add the support chains though...

Will be leaving the bed rack and RTT attached together, and lifting it as one complete unit.
